Helping the Hurting & the Homeless
In the Name of Jesus Christ

Welcome

Welcome to the ministry of the Norfolk Rescue Mission. Learn about our work in New Life Discipleship, Overnight Guest Program, Jail Ministry, and Community Service.

A Brief History

1996 The Norfolk Rescue Mission was established by Pastor Tom Beatty of Omaha. Pastor Tom also served as the first Executive Director.
1997 The Norfolk Rescue Mission acquired the building at 107 N 9th Street. This building housed all of the Mission's programs.
1999 The Hope House opened its doors, giving the growing Mission some much needed space. All of the women's ministries moved over to this building and exist there to this day.
2002 The Faith House was acquired to help the men staying at the Mission have some more space. All of the men on the New Life Program moved over to this building. This allowed for some much needed family rooms in the original Mission building as well.
2004 The Administration Building was built on the Mission campus. This enabled the Mission to have a much larger space for meals and chapel, and better office space for the staff.

Pastor Tom Beatty moved on to help establish another Rescue Mission in Western Nebraska. Pastor Will Perrigan, the Associate Director, became the new Executive Director.
Today The 10 member staff of the Norfolk Rescue Mission continues to serve the hurting and the homeless of Northeast Nebraska on our four building campus. We still see many men, women and families that are in need of the healing power of Jesus Christ.
